The Opportunity:
As a Minibus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students to and from school, ensuring their safety and punctuality. This role plays a vital part in the daily operations of the school and supports the well-being of students during their commute.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport students to and from school during term time, ensuring punctuality and adherence to schedules.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition before and after each journey.
- Monitor the safety, comfort, and welfare of students throughout the journey.
- Follow all school and legal requirements for the transportation of children.
- Assist with any other reasonable driving duties as required by the school.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys and any incidents that occur during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and parents regarding student arrivals and departures.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and child protection policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A current driving licence with the required categories (D/D1).
- Experience driving a coach or minibus, preferably with a record of safe driving.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
- A strong commitment to the safety and welfare of students.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience working in an educational setting or with children.
- Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Previous experience in a similar transportation role within a school or educational institution.
