The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Business to join a dynamic and expanding department. This role offers the opportunity to teach Business GCSE and A Level, as well as vocational subjects to a large and motivated Sixth Form. The successful candidate will contribute to a school that is committed to excellence in education and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Business GCSE and A Level courses to a large and engaged cohort of students.
  • Deliver vocational Business qualifications with high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Support the development of the Business Academy as a leading provider of Business, Economics, and Finance-related courses.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and with local industry partners to enhance student learning and career opportunities.
  • Participate in planning, preparation, and marking, with one day per week dedicated to these activities.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities, including 10 days of CPD annually.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful school culture that promotes student achievement and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business.
  • Experience teaching Business GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience with vocational Business qualifications.
  • Familiarity with industry partnerships and work experience opportunities for students.
  • Experience in developing and leading subject departments.
