Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging chemistry lessons that promote curiosity and a love of science.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that align with the school’s commitment to academic excellence.
  • Support student progress through personalized feedback and targeted intervention.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the science department.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular science activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in secondary science education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in chemistry.
  • Experience of teaching to GCSE and A Level standards.
  • Commitment to student well-being and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a selective or grammar school setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and leadership within a department.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies for diverse learners.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
