Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Design Technology – Food & Nutrition to students at both key stages.
- Support colleagues in the department to improve teaching and learning practices.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum and raise attainment at GCSE.
- Participate in professional development and mentoring programs.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning.
- Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Food & Nutrition.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge.
- Experience teaching Design Technology – Food & Nutrition at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and professional development.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities when required.
Preferred
- Experience with CPD and mentoring programs.
- Familiarity with National Professional Qualifications.
- Experience with teaching outside the specialism.
- Background in raising attainment at GCSE level.
- Interest in extra-curricular and pastoral support.
