The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Maths to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students at Key Stages 3 and 4 while contributing to a collaborative and supportive working environment. The role offers the chance to develop your teaching practice and build meaningful relationships with students as a form tutor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 students using engaging and innovative teaching methods.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development through form tutor responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Participate in a tailored CPD programme to support continuous professional growth.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the maths curriculum.
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to the wider school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in maths education.
  • Confidence in teaching Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Commitment to student engagement and learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering maths lessons to a range of abilities.
  • Previous experience in a form tutor role.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools in the classroom.
  • Experience with classroom observations and peer learning.
