The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Photography and Art to join our thriving Creative Arts and Technology faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive department, delivering high-quality lessons at both Key Stage 4 and 5. The role offers strong support from experienced colleagues and a commitment to professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Photography and Art lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Support the development of students’ creative skills and knowledge in Photography and Art.
  • Work collaboratively with the Art Subject Leader and other members of the Art and Photography team.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum in Art and Photography.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
  • Engage in professional development and continuing teacher education opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching Photography and Art.
  • Ability to teach Photography at Key Stage 4 and 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Photography and Art.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student-centered learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Art and Photography at Key Stage 3.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment in Art and Photography.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting colleagues.
  • Familiarity with digital photography and design software.
