The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Photography and Art to join our thriving Creative Arts and Technology faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive department, delivering high-quality lessons at both Key Stage 4 and 5. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Photography and Art lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Support the development of students’ creative skills and knowledge in Photography and Art.
- Work collaboratively with the Art Subject Leader and other members of the Art and Photography team.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum in Art and Photography.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Participate in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
- Engage in professional development and continuing teacher education opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching Photography and Art.
- Ability to teach Photography at Key Stage 4 and 5.
- Strong subject knowledge in Photography and Art.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student-centered learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering Art and Photography at Key Stage 3.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment in Art and Photography.
- Experience in mentoring or supporting colleagues.
- Familiarity with digital photography and design software.
