The Opportunity:
As a Teacher of Science, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be part of a dynamic Science faculty and have the opportunity to inspire and support students in achieving their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes student achievement and progression
- Support students in developing a strong understanding of scientific concepts and skills
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the Science faculty
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent improvement and achievement
- Participate in staff development and training opportunities
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education
- Strong subject knowledge in Science
- Experience of teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Commitment to student achievement and raising standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative
Preferred
- Experience of working in a Multi-Academy Trust
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation
- Experience of delivering Science at GCSE level
- Experience with pastoral care and student support
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language
