The Opportunity:

As a Teacher of Science, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be part of a dynamic Science faculty and have the opportunity to inspire and support students in achieving their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes student achievement and progression
  • Support students in developing a strong understanding of scientific concepts and skills
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the Science faculty
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure consistent improvement and achievement
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science
  • Experience of teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Commitment to student achievement and raising standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a Multi-Academy Trust
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation
  • Experience of delivering Science at GCSE level
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language
