Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching staff in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
- Assist in the implementation of individual learning plans and behaviour management strategies.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional needs.
- Help maintain a safe, orderly, and stimulating learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour as required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent support for students.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
- Contribute to the overall success of the school by promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in a teaching assistant or similar role.
- A commitment to working with children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently within a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A relevant qualification or experience in education or childcare.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with special educational needs.
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of teaching strategies and curriculum requirements.
- Experience with behaviour management techniques.
- First aid or safeguarding training.
