Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual learning plans and behaviour management strategies.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional needs.
  • Help maintain a safe, orderly, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent support for students.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school by promoting a positive and inclusive culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching assistant or similar role.
  • A commitment to working with children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently within a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A relevant qualification or experience in education or childcare.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of teaching strategies and curriculum requirements.
  • Experience with behaviour management techniques.
  • First aid or safeguarding training.
