Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with individual learning needs and assist with classroom activities
- Build positive relationships with students and act as a role model
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop effective support strategies
- Implement behaviour management techniques in a supportive and structured way
- Assist with planning and delivering targeted learning activities
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communication
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive school environment
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Previous experience working in a classroom or learning support setting
- Level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) in education or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different learning needs
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Experience working with students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions or complex needs
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and behaviour support techniques
- Experience in delivering one-to-one or small group support
- Understanding of child development and learning theories
