The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the Class Teacher in delivering a high-quality education to students, while playing a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' development and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with individual students or groups of students in cooperation with the Class Teacher
  • Support the learning needs of students under the guidance of the Class Teacher
  • Assist with specialist lessons in Art, Music, PE, and Library, and support Specialist Teachers
  • Support the Class Teacher during Language lessons by managing student handover and collection
  • Take responsibility for the class in the absence of the Class Teacher for short periods
  • Greet students daily and help them settle into the school day
  • Perform daily visual health screening and record student temperature and health status
  • Offer guidance and support to students under the direction of the Class Teacher
  • Communicate with parents through students’ Communication books as directed
  • Prepare and manage learning resources and materials
  • Maintain and clean classroom equipment regularly
  • Assist in displaying and organizing students’ work
  • Support students in expressing their ideas and capabilities
  • Assist with assessment and reporting tasks during key evaluation periods
  • Perform after-school duties and waiting room responsibilities as per the duty roster
  • Attend staff training and meetings
  • Support holiday and break activities as directed

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education - Teaching (English) or its equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Familiarity with early childhood education curricula
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
