The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students and enhancing their learning experience. You will work closely with tutors to deliver curriculum support, provide 1:1 assistance, and help students achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the curriculum by assisting with lesson planning and resource preparation.
  • Provide in-session support to engage and progress student learning.
  • Offer 1:1 support in the specified curriculum area, helping students with individual learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with tutors to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with the management of classroom resources and materials.
  • Support students in developing independence and confidence in their learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in special educational needs and autism support.
  • Previous experience in a teaching or educational support role.
  • Familiarity with National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
