Temporary Science Teacher position available at a successful 13–18 Academy.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Temporary Science Teacher to join an outstanding faculty. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student learning and contribute to a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across Key Stage 3 and GCSE to students of all abilities.
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote student progress and attainment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the development of the Science department.
  • Participate in all aspects of school life, including extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Monitor and assess student performance to ensure consistent progress.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and best practices in Science education.
  • Support students in developing a love for Science and a curiosity for the subject.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of departmental initiatives and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant Science degree.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and personal development.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong academic record.
  • Experience with flexible working arrangements.
  • Specialist knowledge in any area of Science.
  • Experience in a school judged "Good" or "Outstanding" by Ofsted.
