The Opportunity:
A Visiting Brass Music Teacher is sought to deliver individual brass lessons and lead ensemble sessions for students aged 2 to 13. This role offers the chance to inspire young musicians and contribute to a dynamic and inclusive music department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and tailored brass instrument lessons to students of all abilities.
- Prepare students for concerts, examinations, and performance opportunities.
- Maintain strong communication with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Plan and assess lessons, regularly reporting on student progress.
- Manage and maintain the school’s brass instrument stock.
- Uphold and promote the school’s values and policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a brass performer and teacher.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Competent IT skills for lesson planning and reporting.
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Preferred
- Piano skills for accompaniment.
- Experience working in a school environment.
- Ability to arrange music for brass ensembles.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
