The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning across various subjects during staff absences
  • Ensure students remain engaged and make progress in their learning
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and structured environment for students
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents
  • Follow school policies and procedures consistently
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support the school’s educational goals
  • Provide feedback to the teaching team when necessary

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching or supervisory experience
  • A firm but friendly approach when working with young people
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Familiarity with a range of subjects
  • Previous experience with cover or substitute teaching
  • Knowledge of current educational practices and curriculum developments
