The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate A Level and GCSE Physics Teacher to join our Science Department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists and make a meaningful impact on student learning and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level and GCSE Physics lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to support student learning and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular assessments and feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective Science Department.
  • Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students as needed.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and curriculum changes.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and school events.
  • Support students in preparing for examinations and achieving their academic goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a degree in Physics or a related subject.
  • Relevant teaching experience at A Level and GCSE level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience in delivering engaging and effective classroom instruction.
  • Commitment to student welfare and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience in a single-sex educational environment.
  • Familiarity with the CLEAR Learning programme or similar character-building initiatives.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with boarding or pastoral care.
