The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate A Level Geography Teacher to join our Social Sciences department. This role involves teaching Further Education students following the A Level curriculum, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level Geography lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies aligned with the A Level curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential through individualised learning and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and curriculum delivery.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and guidance.
  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching A Level Geography or equivalent qualifications.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and personal development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with Further Education students or A Level teaching.
  • Familiarity with the CLEAR Learning programme or similar educational initiatives.
  • Experience in a single-sex school environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
