Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, inquiry-based Physics lessons aligned with the Cambridge International framework.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Design and implement formative and summative assessments that support student growth and achievement.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s values.
  • Collaborate with Science department colleagues on curriculum planning and resource development.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich student experiences.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed of student progress.
  • Lead and manage at least one weekly Extra-Curricular Activity.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Physics Education, or a closely related field.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • At least two years’ recent experience teaching Physics to secondary students.
  • Strong technology skills and the ability to integrate ICT into Physics teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Cambridge International curriculum.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire interest in STEM subjects.
  • Experience with teaching in a multicultural environment.
  • Leadership experience or interest in pursuing leadership roles within the school.
