Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, inquiry-based Psychology lessons aligned with the Cambridge International framework.
  • Utilise a range of teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Design and implement formative and summative assessments that promote student growth and achievement.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s values and encourages student participation.
  • Collaborate with department colleagues on curriculum planning and resource development.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events, including science-focused enrichment programs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed of student progress and wellbeing.
  • Lead at least one weekly Extra-Curricular Activity as needed by the campus.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Psychology Education, or a closely related field.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • At least two years’ recent experience teaching Psychology to secondary students in a school setting.
  • Strong technology skills and ability to integrate ICT into Psychology teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Cambridge International curriculum.
  • Background in secondary-level Psychology education and current educational best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire interest in STEM subjects.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL/TEFL).
