The Opportunity:

As an English Curriculum Coordinator, you will lead curriculum development and instructional practices for the Secondary English programme. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, review, and implementation of the Secondary English curriculum to align with Cambridge International and Vietnamese requirements.
• Promote inquiry-based learning and practical investigation in English, while teaching up to 50% of the standard workload.
• Develop and maintain robust assessment frameworks and moderation processes to monitor student progress and inform teaching.
• Deliver targeted professional learning, mentoring, and coaching for English teachers to raise standards and share best practices.
• Oversee the procurement of learning resources and advise on budgetary needs for the English department.
• Implement regular curriculum reviews, lesson observations, and data analysis to support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-curricularly with colleagues in English, Design & Technology, and ICT to develop interdisciplinary projects.
• Lead extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes to foster student engagement and leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Education and/or qualified teacher status (e.g. PGCE, QTS or international equivalent) and a strong honours degree in English.
• iGCSE FLE (or just GCSE English if coming from the UK) and A-Level Literature experience.
• Proven track record of successful classroom teaching across secondary year groups, including experience preparing students for external examinations.
• Experience in curriculum leadership, assessment design, and professional development for colleagues.
• Right to work in Vietnam by July 2026, or willingness to complete necessary visa and relocation processes.

Preferred

• Experience working in a multicultural school community.
• Confidence in using assessment data to diagnose learning needs and raise attainment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with technology-enhanced learning and evidence-based teaching approaches.
