Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of students up to A Level standard.
- Mark and moderate student work in line with school guidelines.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment.
- Organise and participate in extracurricular activities related to art and photography.
- Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum and teaching resources.
- Support parents, students, and colleagues through events such as parents’ evenings and open mornings.
- Assist with outreach events and school-wide activities, including performances and trips.
- Attend all required INSET days and professional development sessions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Educated to degree level with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a clear pathway to achieve it.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Art and Photography up to A Level standard.
- A track record of improving student progress and attainment.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Experience with digital photography and art software.
