Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of students up to A Level standard.
• Mark and moderate student work in line with school guidelines.
• Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment.
• Organise and participate in extracurricular activities related to art and photography.
• Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum and teaching resources.
• Support parents, students, and colleagues through events such as parents’ evenings and open mornings.
• Assist with outreach events and school-wide activities, including performances and trips.
• Attend all required INSET days and professional development sessions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Educated to degree level with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a clear pathway to achieve it.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.

Preferred

• Experience teaching Art and Photography up to A Level standard.
• A track record of improving student progress and attainment.
• Involvement in extracurricular activities and school events.
• Experience with digital photography and art software.
