The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Art Teacher (Photography Experience Desirable) to join our team and support the continued development of our Art and Design Faculty. This is a full-time, temporary position covering maternity leave, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Art and Photography across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student creativity and achievement.
• Support the development of the Art and Design Faculty through collaboration and shared planning.
• Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities and events.
• Maintain high standards of student behavior and classroom management.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Art and Photography education.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Art and/or Photography across KS3-5.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Art and Photography.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
• Commitment to student development and achievement.

Preferred

• Experience teaching Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and above.
• Ability to contribute to the development of the Art and Design Faculty.
• Experience with digital photography and image editing software.
• Experience working in a school with a strong focus on global learning and cultural awareness.
