The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Hockey in the strategic development and delivery of the hockey programme.
- Manage and mentor a team of coaches, ensuring the delivery of high-quality coaching across all age groups.
- Oversee the planning and execution of training sessions, fixtures, and competitions.
- Promote the sport within the school and wider community through events and outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance the co-curricular experience for students.
- Monitor and report on the performance of teams, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure the programme aligns with the school’s values and educational mission.
- Contribute to the leadership of the school’s sporting and co-curricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in coaching hockey at a high level, ideally in a school or academy setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- In-depth knowledge of hockey coaching techniques and strategies.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programmes for players of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a senior coaching or leadership role within a school or sports organisation.
- Familiarity with national and international hockey competitions.
- Experience in mentoring and developing junior coaches.
- Knowledge of athlete development and welfare practices.
