The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Physics Teacher to inspire and challenge students from Year 7 to the Upper Sixth. This role offers the opportunity to lead innovative teaching and contribute to groundbreaking programmes such as the CubeSat initiative, helping students develop real-world scientific skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons across all year groups, fostering curiosity and independent learning.
  • Lead and participate in the school’s CubeSat and other STEM research programmes.
  • Develop and implement engaging, research-based teaching strategies aligned with the curriculum and beyond.
  • Support students in achieving academic success and developing a lifelong interest in science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s science and technology offerings.
  • Mentor and guide students in both academic and personal development.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Physics and STEM education.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral programmes where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree in Physics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Physics to A level standard.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to fostering student engagement and independent learning.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB Diploma programme.
  • Background in STEM research or related projects.
  • Ability to lead or contribute to innovative educational initiatives.
  • Experience working with students in a co-curricular or pastoral capacity.
