As an Assistant Head Teacher - KG, you will support the Leadership Team in driving the school’s vision to achieve outstanding results in all aspects of school life. Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate a vision for outstanding student learning and gain commitment from all team members.
  • Contribute to effective school self-evaluation and improvement planning.
  • Support the establishment of resource needs and ensure value for money in the use of equipment and resources.
  • Implement areas of development identified by the School Improvement Plan.
  • Provide professional instructional leadership in curriculum development and teacher development.
  • Support the induction of new teachers and foster a culture of recognition and team spirit.
  • Ensure a safe working and learning environment for students and colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and act as a positive role model for staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Primary/Elementary Teaching
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience with substantial whole school middle leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge and experience of curriculum and assessment practices
  • Collaborative team-player with excellent personal skills
  • Ability to hold others to account and inspire others

Preferred

  • Middle Leadership qualification
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in early years education
  • Knowledge of the American curriculum or willingness to train
