The Opportunity:

As Vice Principal (Secondary), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of students in Middle and High School. You will lead initiatives that promote student well-being, behavior, and safeguarding, ensuring alignment with ADEK requirements and the school’s mission. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student lives while contributing to a forward-thinking institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee pastoral care, behavior, and attendance systems for Middle and High School
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (or Deputy DSL) and ensure full compliance with ADEK safeguarding and child protection requirements
  • Promote positive student well-being, inclusion, and personal development across all phases
  • Line-manage Heads of Year, Grade Coordinators, and pastoral leaders
  • Support the Principal with school operations, self-evaluation, and ADEK inspection readiness
  • Work closely with students, staff, and parents to support positive outcomes
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment aligned with ADEK and school values
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student behavior and attendance

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognized teaching qualification and eligibility for ADEK leadership licensing
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s in Educational Leadership preferred)
  • Significant leadership experience in Middle and/or High School, with a strong pastoral and safeguarding focus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ADEK policies, safeguarding frameworks, and inspection expectations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills

Preferred

  • Experience in an international or multicultural school setting
