The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and service across the campus. You will support the Housekeeping Team, assist with daily operations, and provide supervisory cover when needed, ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the training, induction, and ongoing development of housekeeping colleagues
  • Coach and guide the team to maintain consistent high standards
  • Assist supervisors with operational tasks such as audits, room checks, and coordinating supplies
  • Work flexibly across all school sites, providing supervisory cover during staff absence
  • Ensure safe working practices and a positive, supportive environment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming campus environment
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the housekeeping team

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Willingness to develop skills with the option to work towards a Level 3 NVQ in Hospitality Supervision (funded by the school)
  • Experience in a supervisory or team-leading role within cleaning, hospitality, or facilities
  • Strong communication skills and a supportive leadership style
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
  • A hands-on, flexible attitude and willingness to help where needed
  • Full UK driving licence

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a high-performing team

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £23,199 per annum
  • 35 hours per week, with standard hours from 8:00am–4:00pm Monday–Friday
