As a Maintenance Carpenter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school’s buildings and facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will work across the estate, performing a variety of carpentry-related tasks and supporting broader maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair fixtures, furniture, doors, and windows
• Carry out general carpentry repairs using hand and power tools
• Assist with campus operations and logistics, including room setups and furniture moves
• Supervise contractors and support wider maintenance tasks
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Manage workload across a large campus/estate
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
• Prioritise tasks efficiently and meet deadlines

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in general carpentry maintenance or handyman work
• Ability to manage workload across a large campus/estate
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of an estates team
• Good communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills

Preferred

• Experience with building maintenance or facilities management
• Familiarity with using a range of hand and power tools
• Knowledge of construction materials and methods
