The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Biology Teacher to join its Science Department. This role involves teaching Biology at the High/Secondary School level following the UK-IGCSE curriculum through to A level. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students and contributing to the development of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Biology at High/Secondary School level following the UK-IGCSE curriculum through to A level
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
• Manage classroom effectively to promote student engagement and learning
• Use technology as an educational tool to enhance teaching and learning
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the development of the school community
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and scientific inquiry among students
• Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education
• Minimum of 4 years teaching experience, preferably within the UK-IGCSE curriculum
• Strong knowledge of IGCSE Biology syllabus and assessment methods

Preferred

• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
• Proficient in using technology as an educational tool
