The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a Bookstore Assistant to manage and organise the resource facility, ensuring pupils and departments have access to essential supplies. This role is crucial in supporting the school’s academic and co-curricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain stock levels of supplies for resale to pupils and departments.
  • Purchase appropriate supplies based on demand and usage patterns.
  • Organise and arrange the resource facility to ensure easy access and efficient operations.
  • Monitor and control inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Provide support to departments and pupils by supplying required materials.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of all stock movements and transactions.
  • Collaborate with other staff to identify and address supply needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment within the resource facility.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a similar role, particularly in stock management and control.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
