Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, creative and engaging maths lessons to students across a range of ability levels.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and a passion for mathematics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.
  • Support the school’s mission to provide a comprehensive education that meets the needs of all students.
  • Participate in the school’s Research School initiatives to continuously improve pedagogical approaches.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Work closely with support staff and other teachers to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure that all students are making consistent academic progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching maths at secondary level.
  • Strong commitment to student engagement and effective teaching practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the school’s professional development initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Research School or similar setting.
  • Experience with evidence-based teaching methods.
  • Previous experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching practice.
  • Strong leadership potential and a desire to take on additional responsibilities.
