Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, creative and engaging maths lessons to students across a range of ability levels.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and a passion for mathematics.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.
- Support the school’s mission to provide a comprehensive education that meets the needs of all students.
- Participate in the school’s Research School initiatives to continuously improve pedagogical approaches.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and leadership capabilities.
- Work closely with support staff and other teachers to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure that all students are making consistent academic progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching maths at secondary level.
- Strong commitment to student engagement and effective teaching practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the school’s professional development initiatives.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a Research School or similar setting.
- Experience with evidence-based teaching methods.
- Previous experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in teaching practice.
- Strong leadership potential and a desire to take on additional responsibilities.
