Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with safe catering policies and procedures.
- Ensure the kitchen and associated areas maintain high standards of hygiene and compliance with company protocols.
- Work under direction to take responsibility for specific aspects of the catering operation.
- Support the Chef in meal preparation and service to students.
- Promote healthy eating and contribute to the wellbeing of students.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines in the kitchen and throughout the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Previous experience preparing and cooking meals in a professional kitchen environment.
- Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undergo safeguarding screening and provide references.
Preferred
- Experience working with children or vulnerable adults.
- Knowledge of healthy eating and nutrition.
- Flexibility to work across different shifts and hours as required.
