The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with safe catering policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the kitchen and associated areas maintain high standards of hygiene and compliance with company protocols.
  • Work under direction to take responsibility for specific aspects of the catering operation.
  • Support the Chef in meal preparation and service to students.
  • Promote healthy eating and contribute to the wellbeing of students.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines in the kitchen and throughout the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience preparing and cooking meals in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to undergo safeguarding screening and provide references.

Preferred

  • Experience working with children or vulnerable adults.
  • Knowledge of healthy eating and nutrition.
  • Flexibility to work across different shifts and hours as required.
