The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lecturer to inspire and support students in achieving academic success. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic learning environment with a strong focus on student progression and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach on engineering courses to a range of learner groups, ensuring an engaging and inspirational learning experience
  • Provide pastoral support and safeguarding to ensure the well-being and success of all students
  • Prepare and mark student work, offering constructive feedback that enhances learning outcomes
  • Monitor and track student progress towards individual targets
  • Support parents/carers with regular progress reports as part of the assessment cycle
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Implement inclusive learning strategies that cater to different learning styles and support students with SEND
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the design of teaching resources

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant engineering subject
  • Appropriate teacher training qualification or working towards it
  • Strong teaching and delivery skills in engineering and vocational programmes
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching theoretical units on vocational engineering programmes
  • Knowledge of inclusive learning and support for students with SEND
  • Experience in curriculum planning and development

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £33,367 to £44,365 pro rata per annum
  • 37 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata for part-time staff)
