The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lecturer to inspire and support students in achieving academic success. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic learning environment with a strong focus on student progression and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach on engineering courses to a range of learner groups, ensuring an engaging and inspirational learning experience
- Provide pastoral support and safeguarding to ensure the well-being and success of all students
- Prepare and mark student work, offering constructive feedback that enhances learning outcomes
- Monitor and track student progress towards individual targets
- Support parents/carers with regular progress reports as part of the assessment cycle
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet the diverse needs of students
- Implement inclusive learning strategies that cater to different learning styles and support students with SEND
- Contribute to curriculum development and the design of teaching resources
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant engineering subject
- Appropriate teacher training qualification or working towards it
- Strong teaching and delivery skills in engineering and vocational programmes
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Preferred
- Experience in teaching theoretical units on vocational engineering programmes
- Knowledge of inclusive learning and support for students with SEND
- Experience in curriculum planning and development
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £33,367 to £44,365 pro rata per annum
- 37 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata for part-time staff)
