The Opportunity:

As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving food to staff and students. This is a part-time, permanent position, ideal for someone who is passionate about contributing to a welcoming and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals to students and staff in a clean and efficient manner.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all food preparation and service areas.
  • Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with the storage and organisation of food supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the catering service.
  • Monitor food stock levels and report any shortages or issues promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
  • Support the school in meeting dietary requirements and special needs where applicable.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a catering or food service role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety standards in food preparation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including term time only and specific days of the week.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with children in a school environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Flexibility to work within a busy and dynamic team.
  • Previous experience in a school catering role.

Compensation & Benefits:
