The Opportunity:
As a Student Behaviour Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting students to develop positive learning habits and manage behaviour interventions. This is a key position in maintaining a structured and supportive environment that helps students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement behaviour interventions to support student development.
- Provide structured consequences and support for students to reflect and progress.
- Work closely with students to overcome barriers to learning and achievement.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school environment that encourages respect and integrity.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other support officers to ensure consistent behaviour management.
- Support the delivery of a knowledge-rich curriculum through positive student engagement.
- Monitor and report on student behaviour and progress regularly.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in managing student behaviour and supporting student development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Understanding of educational best practices and student welfare.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of respect and academic excellence.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching and learning approaches.
- Previous experience in a free school or academy setting.
