The Opportunity:

As a Student Behaviour Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting students to develop positive learning habits and manage behaviour interventions. This is a key position in maintaining a structured and supportive environment that helps students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement behaviour interventions to support student development.
  • Provide structured consequences and support for students to reflect and progress.
  • Work closely with students to overcome barriers to learning and achievement.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school environment that encourages respect and integrity.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support officers to ensure consistent behaviour management.
  • Support the delivery of a knowledge-rich curriculum through positive student engagement.
  • Monitor and report on student behaviour and progress regularly.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in managing student behaviour and supporting student development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Understanding of educational best practices and student welfare.
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of respect and academic excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
