The Opportunity:
A Catering Assistant is required to support the busy school kitchen and dining area. This temporary role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to delivering a high-quality service that supports student well-being and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining area.
- Assist with washing up and general tidying of workspaces.
- Support the catering team in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and students.
- Adapt to changing priorities and work patterns as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A willingness to learn and follow training provided.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible and reliable approach to work.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role.
- A Food Hygiene qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with children or in a school setting.
