Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons across all ability groups in KS3 and KS4.
- Develop engaging and inclusive learning experiences that promote student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with the Humanities Department to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices.
- Support the school’s commitment to equality and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure they meet academic standards.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Religious Studies.
- Experience teaching Religious Studies at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to promoting equality and inclusion in education.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their potential.
Preferred
- Experience with early career teacher development.
- Familiarity with curriculum design and assessment strategies.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Background in pastoral care or student support.
- Experience in extra-curricular leadership or organisation.
