Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons across all ability groups in KS3 and KS4.
  • Develop engaging and inclusive learning experiences that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Humanities Department to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices.
  • Support the school’s commitment to equality and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure they meet academic standards.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Religious Studies.
  • Experience teaching Religious Studies at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to promoting equality and inclusion in education.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their potential.

Preferred

  • Experience with early career teacher development.
  • Familiarity with curriculum design and assessment strategies.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Background in pastoral care or student support.
  • Experience in extra-curricular leadership or organisation.
