The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to provide a welcoming and efficient service to parents, pupils, and visitors. This role is vital in maintaining the school’s professional image and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a friendly and efficient front-line service to all visitors, parents, and pupils.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Maintain and update administrative records and systems in line with school procedures.
  • Support the administration team with a range of tasks, including event coordination and data management.
  • Ensure the reception area is maintained to a high standard at all times.
  • Assist with the management of school policies and procedures, including safeguarding protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to support the school’s overall goals and objectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English and numeracy skills.
  • Competent computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and school management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Experience in a school or similar administrative environment.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and policies.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Flexibility to work within a term-time only schedule.
