As a Chemistry Teacher Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of engaging and effective chemistry lessons to students of all abilities.
- Assist in planning and preparing lesson resources and materials in line with the school’s curriculum and teaching standards.
- Work closely with experienced teachers to observe, learn, and apply best practices in the classroom.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning.
- Contribute to the development of practical and theoretical science activities that enhance student understanding.
- Support students in their academic progress through targeted feedback and individualized assistance.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and events that promote science education and student engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality approach to teaching and learning across the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Currently enrolled in or have completed a teacher training program, with a focus on science or chemistry.
- A strong academic background in chemistry or a related subject.
- Demonstrated commitment to education and a passion for inspiring students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when required.
Preferred
- Experience in a school setting or with working with young people.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology in education.
- Experience with curriculum development or lesson planning.
- Knowledge of science education standards and assessment practices.
