The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of engaging and effective physics lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Work closely with experienced teachers to develop teaching skills and classroom management techniques.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of lesson resources and materials.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Participate in professional development and training sessions to enhance teaching practice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission of academic excellence and student success.
  • Contribute to the assessment and feedback of student progress in line with statutory requirements.
  • Engage in school-wide initiatives that promote student well-being and personal development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Currently enrolled in or have completed a teacher training program.
  • Strong academic background in physics or a related subject.
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching and a commitment to student development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take direction from experienced staff.

Preferred

  • Experience in classroom teaching or educational support roles.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment practices.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
