The Opportunity:

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality science education and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. You will lead and develop the Chemistry curriculum, supporting colleagues and ensuring a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Chemistry department across key stages 3, 4, and 6.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Set and mark work to support student learning both in and out of the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning across the faculty.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop a passion for Chemistry and science.
  • Support the school’s mission of raising aspirations and transforming lives through high-quality teaching.
  • Participate in curriculum development and extra-curricular activities.
  • Uphold the school’s values of readiness, respect, and safety in all interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry
  • Experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A-level Chemistry
  • Experience with inclusion strategies and differentiated teaching
  • Passion for science and inspiring students to achieve their potential
  • Experience in extra-curricular science activities or STEM initiatives
