Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-impact, systematic synthetic phonics lessons that foster a lifelong love of reading.
- Design and implement a curriculum that supports the whole child, including social, emotional, and physical development.
- Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants and the SENCo to provide tailored support for students with special educational needs.
- Maintain open and proactive communication with parents and carers to build strong community relationships.
- Ensure a calm, purposeful learning environment with effective behaviour management strategies.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the evolving needs of the classroom.
- Support the school’s mission of raising aspirations and empowering students to achieve their best.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in EYFS and Key Stage 1.
- Strong understanding of phonics and early literacy development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage behaviour and create a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting students with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching in a collaborative, high-achieving school environment.
- Background in professional development and continuous learning.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
