Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons tailored to students' needs, including GCSE and KS5 levels.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Support individual learning needs with targeted interventions and inclusive teaching practices.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline in line with the school’s expectations.
- Encourage student participation in extra-curricular and sporting activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the trust to share best practices and enhance the PE curriculum.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s wider curriculum and enrichment programme.
- Uphold the school’s values and commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in teaching PE at secondary level
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
- Excellent classroom management skills
Preferred
- Experience teaching up to GCSE level
- Ability to deliver KS5 PE lessons
- Experience in extra-curricular sports coaching
- Familiarity with the Sigma Trust and its values
