As a Cover Supervisor, you will support teaching and learning during teacher absences by maintaining order and ensuring students remain on task. This role is essential in maintaining the positive and productive environment that makes the school a great place to learn and work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Follow lesson instructions provided by the teacher to ensure continuity of learning.
• Maintain good order and keep students focused on their tasks.
• Adapt quickly to changing circumstances and remain calm under pressure.
• Support the school's commitment to a positive and productive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
• Contribute to the school’s inclusive and supportive culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working with secondary aged children in an educational setting.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.

Preferred

• Previous experience in a teaching or supervisory role.
• Familiarity with curriculum planning and delivery.
• Experience with behaviour management strategies.
• Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
