The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and well-qualified French Teacher to join our dedicated Modern Languages Faculty. This is a part-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development within a supportive and innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality French lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Plan and implement effective teaching strategies that align with curriculum requirements.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of the Modern Languages Faculty.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of teaching resources.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Stay up to date with current educational trends and best practices in language teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and appropriate teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching French at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and take responsibility for student progress.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering GCSE French courses.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Strong knowledge of French culture and language.
