Summary:

Cover Supervisor needed for term-time only role at a school. Support teaching and student care.

The Opportunity:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will support teaching across both school sites and assist with student care during short-term teacher absences. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and committed to making a positive impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cover lessons for short-term teacher absences across both school sites.
  • Support the Lead Cover Supervisor in ensuring continuity of learning.
  • Assist with extra-curricular activities and student support initiatives.
  • Maintain strong communication with students, staff, and parents.
  • Perform administrative duties when not covering lessons.
  • Use Microsoft Office 365 and SIMS effectively to manage records and reports.
  • Develop positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Manage deadlines and organisational tasks efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience in working with young people, either as a teacher or teaching assistant.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Commitment to pastoral care and student support.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Schools Information Management System (SIMS).
  • Experience in a similar role within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum delivery and classroom management.
  • Experience in supporting students with additional needs.
