The Opportunity:
As a Graduate Assistant - Sports, you will play a vital role in supporting a wide range of sports and activities, helping to create a positive and engaging atmosphere for students. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of sports and activities across a wide range of disciplines
- Assist in the planning and preparation of lessons and events
- Contribute to the development of a positive and welcoming environment in the boarding houses
- Work flexibly across different areas of the school, including daytime sports and evening duties
- Help to organize and manage co-curricular activities and events
- Support pupils in their sporting and personal development
- Collaborate with staff, House Parents, and other Graduate Assistants
- Travel to fixtures and events as required
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience or qualifications in your chosen sports specialism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A well-rounded personality with the ability to work flexibly
- Confidence, resilience, and a proactive approach to work
- Commitment to the safeguarding of young people
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple commitments
- Sympathy with the ethos and mission of the school
- Entitled to work and reside in the UK
- Excellent references
Preferred
- Experience working in a boarding school environment
- Knowledge of a wide range of sports and activities
- Experience in coaching or leading sports teams
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience with event planning and management
