The Opportunity:

As a Graduate Assistant - Sports, you will play a vital role in supporting a wide range of sports and activities, helping to create a positive and engaging atmosphere for students. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gain hands-on experience, and become part of a close-knit community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of sports and activities across a wide range of disciplines
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of lessons and events
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and welcoming environment in the boarding houses
  • Work flexibly across different areas of the school, including daytime sports and evening duties
  • Help to organize and manage co-curricular activities and events
  • Support pupils in their sporting and personal development
  • Collaborate with staff, House Parents, and other Graduate Assistants
  • Travel to fixtures and events as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience or qualifications in your chosen sports specialism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A well-rounded personality with the ability to work flexibly
  • Confidence, resilience, and a proactive approach to work
  • Commitment to the safeguarding of young people
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple commitments
  • Sympathy with the ethos and mission of the school
  • Entitled to work and reside in the UK
  • Excellent references

Preferred

  • Experience working in a boarding school environment
  • Knowledge of a wide range of sports and activities
  • Experience in coaching or leading sports teams
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Experience with event planning and management
