The Opportunity:

As a Deputy Maths Curriculum Leader, you will provide strategic leadership across Key Stages 3 and 4, driving high-quality teaching and learning. You will play a pivotal role in improving outcomes for all students, especially those who are vulnerable, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and high expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality maths curriculum strategies across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Support the Curriculum Team Leader in leading and managing the maths department.
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning practices to ensure consistent standards.
  • Provide professional development and mentoring for maths teachers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to shape whole-school priorities and initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective assessment and reporting systems are in place.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to support vulnerable students and improve outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in maths education at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience in curriculum development.
  • Proven ability to drive improvement in student outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a maths department or working as a Deputy Curriculum Leader.
  • Background in supporting vulnerable students and improving their outcomes.
  • Experience in data analysis and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with Church of England values and principles.
