The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic and supportive Technology Department as a Design & Technology Teacher specialising in Resistant Materials. This role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a well-resourced, innovative curriculum. Ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Design & Technology with a focus on Resistant Materials.
  • Develop and maintain a creative, engaging, and challenging curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving excellent GCSE results through effective teaching and assessment.
  • Collaborate with other subject specialists and technicians to enhance student learning.
  • Manage and maintain modern, well-equipped workshops and equipment.
  • Encourage student creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Design & Technology.
  • Strong knowledge of Resistant Materials and practical skills in design and making.
  • Experience in delivering GCSE-level Design & Technology courses.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for inspiring young people.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative culture.

Preferred

  • Experience with CAD and 3D printing technologies.
  • Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong desire to grow and develop.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Passion for fostering creativity and practical skills in students.
