Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Digital Media lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and challenge students to excel.
  • Stay up to date with current pedagogy, assessment requirements, and National Curriculum standards.
  • Create a positive and inspiring learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
  • Effectively use ICT to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and meaningful targets for improvement.
  • Contribute to student reports and communicate with parents, leadership, and support staff as needed.
  • Support the school’s vision and objectives by promoting its values of respect, results, and honesty.
  • Act as a role model for students and contribute to the school’s extra-curricular and pastoral activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Specialist knowledge and teaching experience in Digital Media up to KS5.
  • Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Familiarity with current pedagogical practices and assessment requirements.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to the subject.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and enhancing the Digital Media curriculum.
  • Background in supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Experience with ICT integration in teaching and learning.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities or leadership roles within a school setting.
