Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Digital Media lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and challenge students to excel.
- Stay up to date with current pedagogy, assessment requirements, and National Curriculum standards.
- Create a positive and inspiring learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
- Effectively use ICT to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and meaningful targets for improvement.
- Contribute to student reports and communicate with parents, leadership, and support staff as needed.
- Support the school’s vision and objectives by promoting its values of respect, results, and honesty.
- Act as a role model for students and contribute to the school’s extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Specialist knowledge and teaching experience in Digital Media up to KS5.
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that promote student progress and achievement.
- Familiarity with current pedagogical practices and assessment requirements.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to the subject.
- Commitment to the school’s values and mission.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and enhancing the Digital Media curriculum.
- Background in supporting students with special educational needs.
- Experience with ICT integration in teaching and learning.
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities or leadership roles within a school setting.
