The Opportunity:

As the Director of US Program, you will lead and develop a distinctive and valued international program within a thriving school community. This role is pivotal in managing the academic and pastoral needs of students from the US, ensuring their successful progression to American secondary and tertiary institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the US Program, from admissions through to graduation.
  • Act as a central point of contact for prospective and current US families.
  • Oversee academic provision, teach within the program, and support pupil progression to American institutions.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders including the US Department of State, US Embassy, US Air Force, and local military bases.
  • Support accreditation requirements with the Middle States Association (MSA) and promote the program at events and conferences.
  • Provide pastoral support and engage with US families through community events and outreach.
  • Fulfill the wider responsibilities of a teacher, including boarding, weekend duties, and tutoring as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in an international education setting.
  • Strong experience in managing admissions and student progression processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Familiarity with American educational systems and accreditation standards.

Preferred

  • Experience working with US military families or international communities.
  • Knowledge of SAT and ACT assessments and international student support.
  • Experience with US Department of State or DoDEA programs.
  • Strong organizational and event management skills.
  • Experience in promoting educational programs at conferences and open days.
